Barbecued Pork Shoulder Steaks

If you haven’t tried barbecue pork steak yet, you’re in for a treat! The marbled fat in these pork shoulder steaks keeps the meat extra tender and juicy. Try them with this flavourful marinade and you’ll soon have a new favourite BBQ recipe!


4 – 6 pork shoulder steaks

150ml cider or apple juice
60ml soy sauce
60ml orange marmalade
15ml runny honey
25ml lemon juice
1 clove of fresh garlic (peeled and crushed)


1. Put all of the ingredients for the marinade into a pan and heat gently, stirring until mixed. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool.

2. Place the steaks in the marinade overnight or for at least 4 hours.

​3. Barbecue slowly over an even heat, turning frequently and brushing with the remaining glaze until cooked through. The steaks will be slightly caramelised on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. You can also bake the steaks in a moderate oven, on a griddle, or under a medium grill.​​
